Good photographs are rarely just about what was in front of the camera when they were taken. They are not about "the truth." They are not necessarily "beautiful" or even pleasing to the eyes. Instead, they are works of fiction; invitations, if you will, to our imaginations. They are visual literature, and like great literature, great photographs don't simply give us truth or beauty. Instead, they help us find them in ourselves and in our lives.
I'd like to think that all of the photographs I post here are good. And I remain hopeful that, someday, someone will find one of them great. We can use all the truth and beauty we can get.
I primarily shoot with a Canon 400D (XTi) and Sigma lenses. On occasion I will also use a Canon 20D and/or "L" series lenses.
Window Size
If you cannot see the thin gray border (or a shadow) on the right side of the photograph then you are probably not seeing all of the image. If possible, increase the width of your browser window.

This is my first time visiting your blog, and I was struck by the intensity of this photograph. It's really gorgeous.
