red box

To a small degree this was inspired by a photograph of Abelardo Morrell's, entitled Kleenex, from his truly wonderful Home series. For some reason my memory of his photo was that the light and dark on the background wall was opposite that on the box. Having just looked at it again, though, I see it's not. I find it's a bit amusing, then, that my memory of what I liked most about that particular photo was precisely that "opposition" of light and dark. Oh well. So this is a flawed homage, I suppose, but a homage nonetheless.
